Find out what food and drink events are happening in and around Scotland and beyond.
The Showcasing Scotland regional events programme has been developed in response to growing demand for local products in local markets. The programme will help grow local and regional sales by bringing together regional buyers, producers and suppliers for a series of one-day meet the buyer events.
For buyers, Showcasing Scotland regional events will make introductions as easy as possible through the successful ‘speed-dating’ style of event, exposing them to the breadth of quality food and drink products each region has to offer.
For suppliers, Showcasing Scotland regional events will provide the opportunity to develop commercial capability through a Supplier Development Programme and give the chance to meet a range of buyers who are actively looking for local products. The Local Food & Drink Coordinator, Ashley Robinson, is delivering ‘Alive with Local Food’ – an economic strategy for the local food and drink sector in the region. Our vision is for the region to be alive with local food – with a vibrant local food economy, supported local food producers and providers, a resilient and sustainable local food system, and plenty of showcasing and celebrating our local food successes. Funded by Forth Valley & Lomond LEADER and Stirling Council, the project aims to grow, enable, and innovate the local food economy in the Forth Valley and Lomond region
