Jemma Reid was brought up in the hospitality industry and has worked her entire career in hospitality, events, tourism, travel, sales and food and drink, to which she has an enormous passion for.
This has taken her across the globe, having initially worked for a DMC organising large international events and incentive trips. Jemma has worked across the UK in leading hotels and venues running their events and driving sales before moving back to Edinburgh, where she worked with Prestige Scotland as their National Sales & Account Manager.
In 2010, Jemma set up JR Events & Sales running events with a key focus on food and drink as well as developing the former Scottish Borders Food Network. Since 2017 Jemma has project managed MBTAG and currently for the SSDA where her key is focus driving destination and product development, destination marketing through Scotland Starts Here, industry leadership and capacity building. She continues to develop and deliver food and drink events in the South and is a Board member representing tourism for Developing the Young Workforce.
Jemma is very excited about being an Ambassador for Scotland Food & Drink and making the South of Scotland shine and working with likeminded individuals from across Scotland.
