AcceptTackling plastic waste can be done in many ways: reduce, recycle and refill are just some of the options. The UK alone gets through 35 million plastic bottles every day and only around half of them are recycled, while 16 million bottles end up in landfill. Scotland has committed to introduce a deposit return scheme for plastic bottles, whilst England is going for a free refill initiative. Could a ‘refill scheme’ also help support the Scottish governments aim to reduce plastic waste in near future?
