Nairn’s are celebrating after their Coconut & Chia Oat Biscuits triumphed at The Grocer New Product Awards. These high profile annual awards highlight and applaud outstanding innovation in food and non-food products, with a rigorous two stage judging panel comprising of both consumers and experts.

Nairn’s Coconut & Chia Oat Biscuits contain 55% less sugar than the average sweet biscuit and picked up the award for ‘Healthier Sweet Snacks’, with experts saying it was “justifiably healthier without compromising on taste’ and consumers applauding its “excellent quality”.

Emma Heath, Head of Marketing at Nairn’s comments,

“Our whole team are thrilled with this latest award win in The Grocer New Product Awards for Nairn’s Coconut & Chia Oat Biscuits. Clinching top spot for ‘Healthier Sweet Snacks’ is testament to the lower sugar credentials of the biscuit, and our continued dedication to releasing products that showcase the health boosting properties of oats, champion lower sugar content, and most importantly, don’t compromise on taste”.

In addition to the award win for Coconut & Chia Oat Biscuits, Nairn’s, the UK’s number one gluten free brand, had two of their latest oat innovations through to finalist stage, strengthening their position as one of the leaders in healthier snacking.

Emma Heath adds,

“We were delighted to be finalists in two other categories for our new gluten-free oat snack ranges - Nairn’s BBQ Pop Oats (Healthier Crisps & Snacks category) and Apple & Cinnamon Oat Bar (Gluten Free Sweet). Demand for free from products has never been higher, and both of these new launches tap into convenient and healthy snacking formats, making it easier to enjoy the natural goodness of oats on the go.
“Recognition at this level is a fantastic achievement for Nairn’s and will help us strengthen our ever-expanding range of simple, delicious and healthier free from products, whilst also increasing distribution to a wider consumer base”.

They have  55% less sugar than the average sweet biscuit currently on the market, and cleverly combine the health benefits of wholegrain oats with two of the world’s biggest trending ingredients - coconut and chia.  The result is a great-tasting, low sugar biscuit, which follows the same simple, natural and wholesome philosophy that the whole Nairn’s range is known for.
