Brakes Scotland scoops top honours at the SWA Achievers Awards
Brakes Scotland was awarded Best Marketing Initiative and Rising Star of Wholesale.
Brakes Scotland, a leading distributor of high-quality food products to the Scottish foodservice industry, is incredibly proud to have been recognised for Best Marketing Initiative and Rising Star of Wholesale at the Scottish Wholesale Association Achievers Awards.
Now in its 21st year, the annual ceremony highlights excellence across the entire wholesale industry, bringing businesses together to celebrate the achievements of the past year.
Brakes Scotland walked away with the Best Marketing Initiative award for their innovative customer loyalty programme, mybrakes rewards. Having enjoyed tremendous success within its first year, the judges were impressed by the scheme’s customer satisfaction rates as well as the charitable donations it enabled.
Leon French, Marketing Director, said: "I'm thrilled that mybrakes rewards has been recognised as the Best Marketing Initiative in the Scottish wholesale sector. We recently celebrated the first birthday of mybrakes rewards and we've achieved an incredible amount in such a short time. From planting over 24,000 trees, to rewarding our customers with over £2.5 million worth of cashback, offering great support in tough trading times. My thanks go out to the hard work of the team, and the invaluable feedback from customers on their needs!”
Kelsey Brannan, Area Sales Manager, received the Rising Star of Wholesale Award. Kelsey's dedication, ambition, and commitment to exceeding expectations have been instrumental in her rapid rise within Brakes. Her personable and professional nature for customer success and her drive to challenge herself and the wider business were highlighted by the judges.
"I felt privileged to have even been nominated,” said Kelsey. “Winning was a complete surprise. I can't thank my Brakes colleagues enough for their support over the years, I'm absolutely honoured and still on cloud nine!"
The team were also delighted to be awarded runner-up for both the Community Service and Great Place to Work Awards on the night. Adam Spiers, Regional Operations Director for the North, concluded: “People are at the heart of our business and I’m incredibly proud that the outstanding commitment, contribution and achievements of our Brakes Scotland team has been recognised by the Scottish Wholesale Association.”
