The Scotland Food & Drink Partnership’s Net Zero Commitment will be launching its industry-wide Business Support Research Survey on Monday, 2 September 2024.
Running until Monday 30 September, the survey is designed to gather crucial data from hundreds of diverse food and drink businesses throughout Scotland, with an aim to identify the specific support that’s required, and the challenges businesses are facing on the road to achieving Net Zero emissions. This will inform both Scottish Government policy and future actions by all partnership members.
This survey will cover the whole food and drink supply chain across the country and gives businesses an opportunity to have their voice heard.
The information gathered will form the basis for the Commitment’s future recommendations and support strategies to the Scottish Government and partners.
The Net Zero Commitment focuses on understanding and meeting the needs of food and drink businesses striving to meet Net Zero by 2045. The Commitment wants to understand the support needed for businesses to reach that ambition.
Iain Clunie, Director of the Net Zero Commitment, emphasised the importance of broad participation to ensure continued growth from the industry. He said: "For us to develop the most effective support mechanisms, inform policy and shape future funding options, it is essential that as many Scottish food and drink businesses as possible engage with this survey.
“Together, we can lead the way to a sustainable and profitable future for Scotland's food and drink industry."
The success of this survey and the broader Net Zero initiative depends on the collaboration and support of Scotland Food & Drink members and other related organisations.
We urge all stakeholders to participate and contribute to this vital effort.
