Senior Brand & Communications Manager
Salary: £38,000 to £42,000 annually, dependant on experience
Annual Leave entitlement: 25 days (plus 10 bank holidays)
Working hours: Full time – permanent
Location: Ratho, Edinburgh / Hybrid-working
Reporting to: The Senior Brand & Communications Manager will report to Head of Brands & Communications

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to and working closely with the Head of Brands & Communications, you will be responsible for developing and delivering communication and marketing campaigns to support our membership engagement, event programme and industry leadership role, with the aim of helping to secure, sustain and grow Scotland’s food and drink sector.
From the beginning to the end of campaigns, you will work with the wider communications and brands team including your direct report, the Digital Marketing Manager and our creative and PR agencies to plan, create and deliver engaging content and assets, utilising all channels of digital marketing and PR to achieve campaign and business objectives.
You will be able to work both independently and as part of our small team, managing a variety of ongoing and shorter campaigns at any one time to raise the profile of Scotland Food & Drink and promote the sector as a whole.
You will also work closely with our CEO, our Executive team, brand and PR agencies and key stakeholders to raise the profile of Scotland Food & Drink and promote the work of the Scotland Food & Drink Partnership.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Lead on campaign planning and management, creating actionable briefings, coordinating with Scotland Food & Drink teams and creative agencies.
- Plan resources and campaign concepts together with the wider team and creative agencies to build an effective campaign across multiple channels, working against agreed KPIS’s.
- Monitor implementation of the entire spectrum of communications disciplines including media and public relations, brand marketing, advertising, marketing, and production of materials.
- Create a range of appropriate methods to achieve maximum positive coverage for Scotland Food & Drink including press releases, quotes, comment pieces, identifying and supporting spokespeople and writing articles or blogs.
- Analyse campaign insights and results, reporting to internal stakeholders and implementing continuous campaign changes.
- Build and manage processes for successful campaign implementation, finding efficiencies and best practices to improve workflow management across the team and wider organisation.
- Manage regular communication between involved team members & keep them updated on campaign status and where resource will be needed.
- Be responsible for managing a consistent tone of voice and brand across all communication materials which supports both industry leadership positioning and membership retention and acquisition.
- Leading on the marketing and PR of our annual Scottish Food & Drink campaign in September.
- Line manage and work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to plan and integrate activity into wider communications and membership engagement activity.
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will have:
- Knowledge and experience of all areas of brand, marketing and communication
- Experience in managing multiple marketing campaigns of varying size successfully and independently at any one time
- Excellent communication skills with project teams and external agencies
- Excellent copy writing and proofing skills for both long and shortform copy
- Press and media communications experience
- Experience of working with creative and PR agencies
- Ability to manage campaign budgets
- Strong administrative and project planning skills
- Monitoring of campaigns and understanding analytical data
- Confidence to share forward thinking ideas that take a different approach to what we have done previously
- Stakeholder management
- Articulate with a creative flair both in writing and idea generation
