Lochaber Chamber of Commerce will be running a trade mission to Orange County, California in February 2024.
Orange County’s marketplace, combined with its robust and diverse economy, make Orange County a desirable place for employers to do business.
The mission will focus on Irvine and the surrounding areas. Irvine is centrally located in the heart of Orange County and is adjacent to one of America’s most passenger friendly international airports – John Wayne Airport.
Irvine was master planned to be an economic powerhouse and it lives up to its reputation. It remains the address of choice for companies and cutting-edge industry sectors. Irvine is a global hub for innovation and technology that covers a wide range of industries including medical, biochemical, medical device, automotive, energy, fibre, communications, cyber security, and advanced manufacturing.
The county's gross regional product (GRP) of $281.1 billion would rank 23rd if it were its own state and 46th in the world if it were its own country. Orange County is unequivocally an economic powerhouse.
As you may know The Scottish Government is actively encouraging smaller companies to consider exporting as an option to grow their business and Scottish Chambers of Commerce are running a series of trade missions on behalf of the government for this smaller-company sector to explore opportunities in a variety of overseas markets.
What is involved?
