Scottish food and drink businesses are invited to a free, one-day online training session to support them on their Net Zero journey.
Taking place on the 29th of October, and hosted by the Scotland Food & Drink Partnership Net Zero Commitment in collaboration with SAC Consulting and Keep Scotland Beautiful, the session aims to inform Scottish food and drink businesses on climate change, its impacts and adaptation, strategies for reducing emissions, and ways to leverage their influence in Scotland's transition to Net Zero.
Iain Clunie, Programme Director at the Commitment, said: “A key role of our programme is to support Scottish food and drink businesses, giving them the tools and knowledge they need to reach Net Zero.
“We know from speaking with businesses, a barrier for many in taking the first or next step to reducing their emissions is a lack of knowledge. Sustainability more generally is littered with jargon, so understanding critical terms like Scope 3 or Science Based Targets is essential.
“This free, interactive session will help to break down those barriers and provide businesses with the correct knowledge to embark on a Net Zero journey and ensure we’re continuing to contribute to a more sustainable industry.”
