Six Scottish food and drink suppliers are celebrating after being named winners of the prestigious Scotmid Scottish Favourites competition, securing the opportunity to showcase their products on the shelves of leading Scottish convenience retailer Scotmid.
The Scottish Favourites competition, launched during Scotland Food & Drink’s first Scottish Food and Drink September, aims to support the growth of local producers and providing customers with access to some of the finest regional products.
The competition, run in partnership with Scotland Food & Drink, highlighted the incredible diversity and quality of Scotland’s food and drink industry.
A panel of expert judges faced the difficult task of selecting the winners from a strong field of innovative and high-quality entries. The successful suppliers and their winning products are:
- Three Robins: Oat Milk / Chocolate Oat Drink / Smoothie Pouches
- Golden Casket: Millions American Sour Squishies
- Equis: Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream
- Young Spirit: Blue Raspberry / Watermelon Vodka Shots
- Burnside Brewery: Right To Roam IPA / Wayfinder Lager (Alcohol Free)
- Fierce Beer: Iron Brew Beer Cooler
Each winning supplier will receive an ongoing listing in Scotmid stores, allowing customers the opportunity to discover and enjoy these exceptional products. The first listing will feature Burnside Brewery’s alcohol-free premium drinks, launching on 28 December 2024 – perfectly timed for Hogmanay celebrations and Dry January.
