The UK’s first prebiotic fibre-infused water is making a splash

ió fibrewater is the UK’s first prebiotic fibre-infused water that delivers 100% of the daily prebiotic intake and 20% of the daily fibre intake, and it just won the prestigious World Food Innovation Award for Best Drink Innovation 2023.

Co-founders Mohsin Laginaf, Aly Reid and Jay Curthan attended their first trade show and launched ió fibrewater to the world at the recent International Food and Drink Event (IFE). The team worked together with Scotland Food and Drink, displayed ió fibrewater in their pavilion, and had a very successful show.

Awards and recognition

Launched in just May of 2022, this exciting functional water is certainly getting noticed.

In addition to the team’s latest win for their World Best Drink Innovation award, ió fibrewater won the Scottish Edge Wildcard Award for Innovation, The Pitch Scotland regional awards (which took them to Google HQ in London to Pitch for the national award), and recently, they were also shortlisted for the Innovation of the Year Award for their collaborative study with Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU).
