Thistly Cross Cider, the renowned Scottish cider producer, has once again demonstrated its craftsmanship and innovation by securing an impressive five awards at the 2023 World Cider Awards. Notably, their Whisky Cask cider earned them the prestigious title of 'UK's Best Flavoured Cider.'
The East Lothian based cidermaker prides itself on its ‘Deliciously Thistly’ drinks range, believing its use of real fruit and hand methods creates the best tasting, naturally sweet ciders. The distinctive Whisky Cask Cider, aged to perfection for six months in single malt scotch whisky casks, has captivated cider enthusiasts and the World Cider Awards judges alike with its harmonious fusion of flavours, offering subtle notes of vanilla and honey against an apple base. Thistly Cross’ popular Elderflower and Scottish Fruits ciders were awarded Silver, followed by Strawberry with Bronze in the same category. Meanwhile Thistly Cross Original Cider was awarded Silver in the UK’s Best Sparkling Cider category.
