Lomond Wholesale is searching for Scotland’s next great food and drink innovation, with the launch of the Lomond Innovation Awards 2027.
Open to food and drink innovators across Scotland, the awards aim to discover exciting new products, ideas and businesses with the potential to make an impact across the local foodservice industry.
As part of the awards, successful entrants will have the opportunity to showcase their innovation to Lomond Wholesale’s buying and sales teams, industry professionals and visitors at Taste of Lomond 2027, taking place at SEC Glasgow on 24–25 February 2027.
The awards are designed to give emerging and established Scottish food and drink businesses a platform to raise awareness, gain valuable industry insight and explore new routes to market.
Who can enter?
The Lomond Innovation Awards are open to Scottish food and drink innovators with a product or idea that demonstrates innovation and commercial potential.
Lomond is particularly interested in innovations that demonstrate:
- Innovation and originality
- Sustainability
- New technology or processes
- Health and nutrition
- Commercial potential
Unfortunately, alcohol products are not eligible to enter.
What could you win?
The Main Prize offers a package of support designed to help take a food or drink innovation to the next stage, including:
- £2,500 cash prize
- A six-month trial listing with Lomond Wholesale
- Professional photography and video content
- Six months of promotional support across flyers, website banners and social media
- The opportunity to present to Lomond’s buying and sales teams
- Route-to-market and foodservice pricing guidance
- A complimentary stand at Taste of Lomond 2028
Additional awards will recognise Sustainability and People’s Choice.
Application Process
Entries are open now and must be submitted online by Friday, 30 October 2026.
Finalists will be invited to showcase their innovations at Taste of Lomond 2027, Lomond Wholesale’s annual trade show, taking place at SEC Glasgow on 24–25 February 2027.
The awards will form part of Taste of Lomond’s 2027 programme, giving finalists the opportunity to put their products directly in front of foodservice professionals, buyers and industry visitors.
