Fierce Beer Brings "This Beer Gives Back" to Co-op Stores Nationwide, with Every Can Funding the Co-op Foundation
A purpose-built 5.5% Hazy IPA from the Fierce for Good Foundation lands in over 300 Co-op stores and 161 Scotmid stores from June 2026
Fierce Beer has secured a national listing for This Beer Gives Back, a 5.5% Hazy IPA brewed specifically to generate funds for social good, available in over 300 Co-op stores and 161 Scotmid stores across the UK from June 2026.
The beer is the second release under Fierce Beer's Fierce for Good Foundation. Ten percent of profit from every can sold goes directly to the Co-op Foundation, the retailer's charitable arm supporting communities across the UK.
It follows This IPA Plants Trees, Fierce Beer's first Fierce for Good release, currently listed in Sainsbury's. The Fierce for Good Foundation has already made its first donation to the Woodland Trust from sales of that beer. Where that beer supports environmental restoration, This Beer Gives Back directs funds into community wellbeing, channelled through one of the UK's most established retail foundations.
The Beer
This Beer Gives Back pours a light, hazy gold. Fruity and bittersweet, it leads with ripe mango and lime peel, finishing with soft bitterness. It is a well-built, accessible hazy IPA that makes no concessions on quality to carry its purpose.
Available in 440ml cans at £3.25, the can carries the Fierce for Good brand mark prominently and states the giving mechanic on pack. Shoppers know exactly what they are buying and where their money goes.
Craig Cargill, Sales Director at Fierce Beer, said:
"This Beer Gives Back is what Fierce for Good looks like at scale. Ten percent of profit goes to the Co-op Foundation, stated clearly on the can, with no small print. We built this beer from scratch to do something useful, and Co-op was the right partner because their customers already understand what that kind of commitment means. Two national listings, two donations made or in progress. That is the foundation working as it should."
Andrew Birdsey, Senior Buying Manager (Craft, Ale, RTD, Cider) at Co-op, said:
"We look for products that reflect what our customers care about, and this delivers on both counts. It is a quality craft beer that contributes directly to the Co-op Foundation. The transparency of the giving mechanic is exactly the kind of straightforward commitment our shoppers respond to, and we are pleased to be working with Fierce Beer to bring it to our shelves."
