Great Glen Distillery Achieves Landmark Success with Second 3-Star Great Taste Award

Great Glen Distillery is celebrating a landmark achievement after Inverness Gin was awarded the coveted 3-Star Great Taste Award – the highest accolade presented by the Guild of Fine Food and recognised as one of the world's most respected food and drink awards.

This year, more than 15,000 products were entered into the Great Taste Awards by 3,919 companies from 116 countries – a record number of entries – including products from nine countries taking part for the first time. Of those entries, just 306 products were awarded the prestigious 3-Star rating, placing them among the very best products judged by the Great Taste panel.

The award makes Great Glen the only distillery in the world, across all four spirits categories to currently hold two 3-Star Great Taste awards with their Flagship Great Glen Gin being awarded 3 stars in 2024.

Great Taste Awards are judged through a rigorous blind-tasting process by hundreds of chefs, buyers, food writers and industry experts, with products assessed solely on taste. Fewer than 2% of all entries receive the coveted 3-Star award, making it one of the most sought-after accolades in the global food and drink industry.

The latest award further strengthens Great Glen Distillery's reputation for producing world-class spirits from the Scottish Highlands and marks another significant milestone for the independent distillery as it continues to build an internationally recognised portfolio of award-winning products.
