We've teamed up with convenience retailer Scotmid to give Scottish producers a chance to have their products stocked in their stores. A minimum of three winning products will secure an ongoing listing in Scotmid stores from early next year.
Who is the competition for?
The competition is open to all Scottish food and drink suppliers across various product categories, demonstrating Scotmid’s continued commitment to Scottish sourcing.
What products are they looking for?
- Bakery, Confectionery & Biscuits
- Crisps & Snacks
- Chilled Yoghurts & Desserts
- Meat & Fish
- Chilled Meal Solutions
- Food To Go (Packaged Products)
- Soft Drinks, Spirits, Beers, Ciders & Ales and Ready To Drink Cocktails
- Food Cupboard Essentials
- Ice Cream
- New or Innovative Products
Application Process and Key Dates
- Applications close at 11.30am on Monday 20 October (a product sample will be required for review alongside all applications).
- Successful suppliers will be notified by 3 November. Successful companies will be invited to participate in the next stage - in person presentations and product pitches.
- The product pitches will take place between 12.30pm and 5pm on Thursday 20 November or between 9am and 12.30pm Wednesday 3 December. Full details will be emailed to you if you are successful but we ask all applicants to note these dates in your diaries. The shortlisted suppliers will allocated a presentation slot where possible in line with their preferred date and time as stated within their applications.
- These businesses will have the opportunity to present to a panel of key Scotmid and independent representatives who will select at a minimum of three products to take forward for ongoing listing at Scotmid from early 2026.

All entrants will be required to send samples of the product from their competition entry as follows:
Ambient products must be delivered between 8am and 3pm on Thursday 23 October 2025.
Chilled or frozen products must be delivered between 8am and 12pm on Tuesday 28 October 2025.
All samples must be marked as “Scotmid Scottish Favourites Competition Submission”:
