Tasting Tayside & Fife On the Road 2025

This year, instead of hosting a traditional Meet the Buyer event, the Tay Cities Regional Food Groups are taking produce on the road to directly engage with buyers across the four regions, showcasing products directly to specialist retailers such as delis and farm shops. Market development

This regional sourcing activity is being run jointly by the Tay Cities Regional Food Groups, which includes Appetite for Angus, Eat & Drink Dundee, Food from Fife and Great Perthshire.

This year, instead of hosting a traditional Meet the Buyer event, as in previous years, the groups are taking produce on the road to directly engage with buyers across the four regions, showcasing products directly to specialist retailers such as delis and farm shops. This follows a successful pilot of the concept in Angus last spring.

The buyer visits will take place in January and February. The groups are looking for 6-8 producers from each region to take part.

Participating businesses will put forward one or two products from their range and provide samples and pricing. These will be taken out and presented to retail buyers in farm shops, delis, and similar outlets across the four regions. Orders can be taken during the visits and will be passed to producers to arrange payment/invoicing and delivery of the goods to the customer.

This event is part of a series of trade events supported by Scotland Food & Drink. These events are designed to grow sales of Scottish produce by bringing together buyers and suppliers to do business across the retail, wholesale, hospitality, and independent sectors.

To take part, the following criteria are required:

  • You don’t already employ a dedicated salesperson
  • Your products must be retail-ready
  • Turnover less than £250k
  • Membership of one of the Tay Cities Regional Food Groups

If you are a producer who meets the above criteria and would like to apply, please follow the link below for more information.
