Argyll Food Festival Returns to Celebrate Scottish Flavours

The highly anticipated Argyll Food Festival returns to Oban on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th September. Organised by Food From Argyll, this two-day festival will showcase the finest food and drink from one of Scotland's most abundant natural larders, supported by Scotland Food & Drink’s Regional Food Group programme.

Building on the success of last year's inaugural event, this year’s festival promises an even bigger celebration of the region's top producers, including renowned names like Kintyre Gin, Isle of Mull Cheese and Argyll Coffee Roasters. These local heroes, along with many others, will offer a taste of Argyll’s best produce, from fresh seafood and meats to artisanal cheeses, baked goods, and craft beverages.

Taking place at The Corran Halls, Oban, the festival will feature food stalls, live cooking demonstrations, and interactive workshops.

Promising a weekend of family fun, food, drink and entertainment, attendees can sample and purchase everything from dairy, seafood, and meats to gin, whisky, and artisanal chocolates. The festival will also host the new Argyll Coffee Festival, where visitors can explore the art of coffee roasting and brewing.

“We’re incredibly excited to bring the Argyll Food Festival back this September,” says Amanda Anderson, Festival Coordinator. “Argyll is home to an extraordinary variety of producers, and this event is a fantastic way to celebrate the passion, skill, and quality that goes into everything made here. We look forward to welcoming everyone to enjoy what makes this region so special.”

This year’s festival is part of the wider Naturally Scottish Food & Drink September celebrations, with Fiona Richmond, Head of Regional Food at Scotland Food & Drink, compering the live demonstrations and workshops. “Food From Argyll plays such an important role in promoting the incredible variety of produce from this region,” says Richmond. “The festival offers a fantastic opportunity for visitors to meet the people behind these products and to really connect with the passion and dedication that drives Argyll’s food scene.”

With workshops on foraging, butchery, coffee roasting, and even oyster farming, the Argyll Food Festival offers something for everyone, whether you’re a foodie, a family, or simply looking for a great day out.
