Kintyre gin producer, Beinn an Tuirc Distillers Ltd is raising a glass to another phenomenal night at the prestigious Scottish Gin Awards 2025. They took home an impressive haul of three top accolades, including the coveted Gin Tourist Destination of the Year (Rural) award.
The family-run distillery celebrated success across both product and business categories, underscoring its commitment to quality, innovation, and an outstanding visitor experience.
🥇 Product Excellence Recognised
The distillery's flagship pink gin, Kintyre Pink Gin, struck Gold for the second year in a row, in the highly competitive Pink Gin of the Year category. Made with Scottish oats and raspberries, this naturally coloured spirit was praised by the judging panel for its delicate fruit notes and creamy finish.
Further product success came with the Silver medal win for the high-strength Tarbert Legbiter in the High Strength Gin of the Year category. The distillery team were very impressed that the presenter knew the origins of the name – the sword of Magnus Barelegs, legendary Viking king. The 57% ABV gin was lauded for its smooth yet powerful character, featuring hibiscus flower and pink peppercorns.
"To secure Gold for Kintyre Pink Gin for the second year in a row, and Silver for Tarbert Legbiter is a true testament to the dedication and skill of our small distilling team. These awards celebrate the quality of our spirits and our commitment to consistency and flavour” said company director, Niall Macalister Hall.
