Salary: £28,000.00  – £32,000.00 annually, dependent on experience 
Annual Leave entitlement: 25 days (plus 10 bank holidays) 
Working hours: Full time – 35 hours per week
Contract: Fixed-term Contract – 12 Months
Location: Ratho, Edinburgh / Hybrid-working

JOB SUMMARY

This role will provide essential support for the Capital Funding Scheme including leading day-to-day delivery of processes including: advising businesses, screening and tracking applications, liaising with (and passing data to) external contractors, progressing applications through key stages, supporting ongoing monitoring and reporting, providing feedback to applicants.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Respond to applicant queries and provide advice on the application process.
  • Conduct eligibility and initial quality assessments for incoming applications.
  • Carry out all necessary administrative processes to progress and track applications from entry to end point (whether successful or not). This will include ensuring data is handled sensitively.
  • Deliver constructive feedback and updates to applicants.
  • Maintain records, ensuring audit ready documentation and tracking of stage gates.
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluation, including data collection.

ABOUT YOU

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Proven ability to work to a deadline and manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, track and analyse data.
  • Experience in grant/funding distribution and similar programme support roles is advantageous.
  • Experience with form-based platforms (e.g. Formsite) and CRMs advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, clear, empathetic, and professional.
  • Confident user of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) for data handling, documentation and correspondence.
  • Able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a project team.
  • A flexible and proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.  
  • Experience in the Scottish food and drink sector is desirable but not essential.
